Ted Nelson-- A name I first came across decades ago when I got a copy of his dual book "Computer Lib: You Can and Must Understand Computers Now" and "Dream Machines: New Freedoms Through Computer Screens - A Minority Report."
The NY Times has an article on him-- "In Venting, A Computer Visionary Educates" in which they mention his new book "Geeks Bearing Gifts" which has a mugshot of a young Bill Gates on the cover (purchase at lulu.com).
Anything Nelson does is worth a look. The inventor of hypertext (makes web browsing possible) and the back button, Nelson has several websites:
